Scavenger Hunt (Sadie)

This game is similar to a scavenger hunt in that it starts with a map. A wizard asks questions and the dog goes to "look" for the answer by going to the sprite that answers the question. Each sprite the dog goes to opens up a mini-game in which the user can earn points. Instead of leading to treasure, the objective of the game is to get the most points possible. There are 7 games that need to be played in order for the game to end. Have fun! In collaboration with Paige.

Final Project (Rachel)

The narrator will lead this interactive story along. The characters will ask the user to type a couple of things. The user clicks the right arrow key when instructed to go to the next page in the story. The user will have to click on some of the sprites when instructed to do so. APCSP Final Project (Steven)

Welcome to CatchUp! An innovative game that combines quick thinking, memory, and skillfulness on the keyboard. To begin, please hit the start button and select a speed to play at. This speed is essentially the difficulty of the game and I would recommend to start at about .2. From there, you will be directed to the game screen where you must use the keys to navigate through the scrolling maze without making contact with the black walls. BEWARE! There will be obstacles along the way and you many want to gear up by being prepared to shoot with the spacebar. The goal is to kill as many monsters as possible while also navigating your way to the golden spot at the bottom of the map. Good luck! ...and I heard that the 'r' key may be able to help out. Collaborated with: Teddy Special thanks to: Mr. Kim In addition, I used many images and sounds from online sources and I recognize that I do not own the rights to these resources and I thank the sources that I got them from.

US History Game Show (Keana)

This is an interactive history game to help the sprite, Tera, get back to her homeland. The rocket and planet on the far right are like a meter that shows how close the user is to winning the game. Every question answered correctly results in the rocket in the bottom right moving closer to the planet Kashyyk. To receive a question, one must click on the moving planets. In the challenge mode, the suns appear and when one clicks on those, the game is over, resulting in a loss. The goal of this game is to answer questions from the planets correctly. Partner Claire

FINAL PROJECT (JARED)

Welcome to the story of a life of a teenager. The goal of this program is to go through 4 important moments of every teenager's life. There is user input, and you can follow the story. Be ready for games too! Collaboration with Rachel Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" Applause Jeopardy Music

Pokemon Program (Tyler)

Use the arrow keys or WASD keys (depending on which user you are) to move the Pokemon you chose around your half of the screen. Try and hit the Pokemon egg into the other person's goal. Most points at the end of two minutes wins! Used the "canmove" procedure from shared class programs and modified the numbers to what I needed it to be Used png files of Pokemon characters from Google Images to use as most of my sprites Partner: Sophia

Final Project (Sam)

The game will ask for the player. The player will respond with a three letter name in all caps. The game will then give the choice between playing with a square, triangle, and circle. Once the space button has been pressed the game will start. The player's selected shape will follow the cursor. When the screen is pressed the squares will double in speed. Every 5 seconds for 50 seconds a shape will be added into the game and will follow the last added (or the starting shape) creating a shape. The player can press 'R' at anytime during the game to reset the ball to the center of the screen. If the player's or the computer's score is 5 the game will end and the winner's initials will be shown as the winner. If the player's initials are "SAM" the winning message will be "GOD WON". Star Invaders (Ben)

Welcome to Star Invaders! - To play, hit the green arrow and then enter your player name. - Choose to play as the Rebels or as the evil Empire by clicking on their logo. - The number at the bottom, below the title, denotes the wave that you are on. The later the wave, the more enemies there are with faster spawn time and that move at quicker speeds. - Move your mouse left or right to move your ship and hit the space bar to fire. Don't let the enemy fighter get below you or it will damage you by 5%, or 10% if it is an elite enemy! - The game ends when you pass wave 9 or when your health is less than zero and you are destroyed! Good luck and may the force be with you. With help from: Harper I used many images and sounds from the Star Wars movie series acquired from various websites around the internet, and although I cannot list them all, I would like to thank them for their media for my use.

Use the spacebar to swing your bat and hit the ball. Make sure to time your swing! If the ball is close enough to you, but is not in the strike zone, then try not to hit it. At first I just wanted to create a baseball game, then I discovered that the LA Dodgers are going to the world series! Animemorize (Gavin)

Animemorize is a memorization game. The goal is to see how many levels you, the player, can get through. Get through a level by remembering each animal in the sequence. If you get the wrong animal in the sequence or you take too long between clicks, you will lose. Start the game by clicking the cat after the level has been fully displayed. The cat will then say the new animal in the sequence, which will follow the last animal in the previous sequence. Hint: the sequence always starts with cat. There are 3 game modes: Sprite Click, Number Pad, and Typing. Each of these changes only the way that the player chooses the next animal in the sequence. In Sprite Click Mode, the player clicks the sprite; in Number Pad Mode, the player presses the key to the corresponding number in the top left corner of each animal; in Typing Mode, the player types in the name of each animal. These game modes are cycled through by clicking the sprite of the mode. The Difficulty determines how much time is allowed between clicks of the animals. These difficulty levels, ranging from Easy to Extreme, are cycled through by clicking the sprite of the Difficulty. Animal Ideas courtesy of partner Andrew Inspiration of Lists courtesy of partner Sierra Thanks Mr. Kim!

Escape the Room (Harper)

Escape the school by navigating through various rooms and completing the games/challenges. Explore by clicking on the obvious objects and following the directions in each. I collaborated with Ben in the parallel collaboration model and took most of my sprites, sound, and backgrounds from either the internet or my own pictures.

Saving Princess Peach (Sidney)

Run away from bowser and click space bar to shoot lasers at him! Thanks to my partner, Alex, who helped me throughout this process. I'd like to thank Mr. Kim for teaching me how to use Scratch!
